Jeff wanted to add depth to his beer portfolio and create something deeper than a standard stout porter. By an ordering mishap, Jeff had 120lbs of rolled oats sitting in the storeroom and mixed the oats into the beer as an experiment. a month later, oatmeal stout was born. Jeff doesn't eat a lot of oats and hates oatmeal, so he thought "I'll get my oatmeal through my beer."
Originated on a cold winter day, Jeff stared out the window at the snow and wanted a "warm, old soft blanket" of a beer. Oatmeal Stout gives the sensation of reading a good book underneath your favorite worn quilt.
A stick-to-your-ribs full bodied stout that’s sure to warm you with it’s roasty finish. Brewed with flaked oats (enough to stick a mash), giving it a velvety smooth feel, finishing with chocolate notes and a touch of sweetness.
